Sonographer

Sonographers require successful completion of a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, with post-graduate studies in the area of Medical Ultrasound - such as the completion of a Diploma of Medical Ultrasound through the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) or equivalent.

Main functions are to provide an efficient and high quality diagnostic imaging service with a strong emphasis on ultrasound procedures, to develop and collate films, and to ensure equipment is operated at maximum safety levels.
